The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) and the Steering Committee completes Second Strategic Collaborative Engagement Meeting for the National Fisheries Investment Conference.

The National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority, together with relevant government partners, concluded the second planning meeting as part of developing a roadmap that will lead to a successful hosting of the upcoming National Fisheries Investment Conference (NFIC 2026), scheduled for March 30-31, 2026, at the Farmington Hotel in Margibi County.

Stakeholders gathered in the Conference Room at NaFFA’s Headquarters for a round-table discussion aimed at identifying complementary ideas and strategies that best fit the organizational mechanisms to elevate the value of the conference. It was also a platform to create value and buy-ins from other Ministry Agencies and Commissions (MACs).
During his opening remarks, Acting Director General of NaFFA, Hon. J. Cyrus Saygbe, spoke of the clear objectives of the conference and how it elevates the value of Liberia’s Fishery sector. He emphasized the importance of bringing together global and local stakeholders to achieve the best outcome as Liberia decides to unlock the Blue Horizons of its waters.

Each steering committee representative reported updates on the level of planning and specific areas of value they intend to bring to the process that was earlier assigned to them during the previous meeting. The discussions focused on how each entity can play a unique role in attracting high-level investors and promoting investment opportunities through its various institutions.
